Our Purpose: Grow Townsville Our Values: Safety, Excellence, Respect, Value, Enjoyment About The Role This position is responsible for data base administration in the property and rating system in order for the Revenue Section to produce accurate and timely half yearly rates notices, and supplementary rates notices and working collaboratively across Council to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and to deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville Community. These Officers must have the ability to confidently understand and apply knowledge of Council’s financial policies and rating structures, Local Government statutory regulations, established guidelines, procedures, methods and practices for the administration of the property and rating database. About You Our ideal applicant will have: Experience in a Local Government or Utilities billing services industry is highly regarded. A solid understanding of team environment and the ability to work collaboratively without direct supervision to deliver services within operational timeframes to meet customer expectations. Ability to interpret client needs, and apply knowledge, relevant policies, legislation and established guidelines to determine and undertake appropriate course of action. High standard of written and verbal communication skills and the ability to produce accurate and professional correspondence and reports. Intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) as well as knowledge of other billing databases and record management programs.
