They lead a team of Children’s Services Leaders and Support Workers. This critical role is responsible for the delivery of outcomes for children and young people and for the effective management and leadership of services. In addition the role will support the expansion of services provided in the region. They are expected to spend time within the services under their management, ensuring child trauma informed support is provided in a high-quality homelike environment.Key Focus AreasA strong desire to deliver high quality disability services focused on excellent customer service and growth.Comprehensive knowledge of human rights, trauma informed principles and approaches, including positive behaviour supportStrong leadership capability with the proven ability to coach, mentor and develop high performing teams through authentic engagement.Strong commitment to and understanding of governance and compliance with standards and child protection legislation as it relates to non-family based care and disability services.Strong financial acumen with the ability to effectively co-ordinate and own management outputs (including budgets and rosters) and be accountable for delivering against organisational strategies, targets, and prioritiesSkills and experienceMinimum five years’ experience in a middle management role, or suitably qualified disability services professional with minimum five years’ direct experience in disability services.Relevant tertiary qualification/s i.e., Child Youth & Family/ Community Services or equivalent/higherA willingness and commitment to exercise self-reflection and to improve as a leader.
