We are looking for a young graduate with engineering or supply chain or logistics study background for 12 months paid FULL TIME internship. Based on site at our Factory in Liverpool. The responsibilities of the role are: Responsible for developing & maintaining production plan, Work with manufacturing team to plan cable manufacture to optimize efficiency, while also focusing on achieving customer promise dates Evaluate and maintain Product replenishment lead times - factoring in workload, labor/material resource and machine capacity constraints Create & Maintain SAP Production orders - issuing relevant production paperwork to relevant work centers. Generate machine plans and details from SAP Issue machine schedule to manufacturing (factory floor) Issue Journey Cards / Ticketing to Process Owners & Designated Team Leader Track order progress from shop floor tools, and ensure order progress is maintained in SAP through operation confirmations Identity slow moving and obsolete inventory and suggest appropriate actions to minimize write offs Point of contact for commercial and relevant stakeholders in terms of stock availability, production progress & service level Coordinate daily production / planning meetings - setting the plan, understanding the WIP status, problem solving etc. Responsible for all machine planning activities within own area in conjunction with maintaining the workflow across factories including shared work centers Work proactively with the production team to deliver plan, minimize constraints and resolve issues that may impact an effective workflow Coordinate and manage the WIP levels for given area in line with agreed targets Develop and maintain effective schedule adherence measures for key machines Provide full back-up support and equivalent coverage in other product areas in times of absence Achievement of Monthly SOP Plan Assist in co-ordination of quarterly WIP & Material stock takes Key requirements: Strong communication skills Customer Focus (Manufacturing, Commercial and External Customers) Analytical Reasoning / Supplying Solutions Integration / Working Across Functions Be part of the team and able to lead and guide the team to reach the targets.
