This is a critical role driving a focused uplift in SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance across four key control areas. You'll work at the intersection of risk, IT, finance, and change, ensuring the organisation meets regulatory requirements while maintaining operational efficiency and agility. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong project delivery capabilities and a deep understanding of SOX, IT general controls, and governance to make a tangible impact. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning and execution of a strategic SOX compliance project, ensuring delivery of all outcomes across four high-priority areas. Conduct detailed reviews of risk privileges, identifying gaps, assessing user access rights, and recommending remediations to ensure appropriate role-based controls. Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to align on control expectations, evidence requirements, and audit readiness. Evaluate current change management processes, identifying areas of risk or non-compliance, and work with process owners to embed SOX-aligned governance frameworks. Drive stakeholder engagement across Finance, Risk, Technology, Cybersecurity, and Business Operations to ensure cross-functional understanding and accountability. Track progress against milestones, manage risks and dependencies, and provide clear, structured reporting to program and executive leadership. TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering complex, compliance-driven initiatives. Deep understanding of SOX controls, IT General Controls (ITGCs), risk management, and audit principles. Experience working on privileged access reviews, user access governance, and risk-based remediation programs. Familiarity with change management processes, ideally with exposure to systems such as ServiceNow, SAP, or other enterprise platforms. Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives, control owners, and external auditors. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset, with the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Previous experience in highly regulated industries such as banking, telecommunications, energy, or enterprise-scale environments is highly desirable.
