Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, The Commercial Analyst optimises the delivery of SCA’s digital and podcast advertising inventory, focusing on margin protection and revenue maximisation. Working closely with Sales, Ad Operations, and Finance, the role ensures efficient campaign delivery while guiding inventory toward high-margin products and supporting strategies that enhance yield and commercial performance. What does your day to day look like? Track and analyse inventory utilisation across owned and partner products, ensuring strategies support margin optimisation. Assist with planning and forecasting against commercial commitments, including minimum guarantees and sold capacity. Provide reporting and insights on inventory performance, revenue allocation, and campaign fulfilment to inform strategic decisions. Strategically manage under- or over-delivered activity to protect margins and maximise revenue. Collaborate with Ad Ops, Sales, and Commercial teams to align inventory availability with booking strategies and priorities. Support the development of inventory analysis processes and tools that enhance workflow efficiency and inform broader revenue strategies. What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Advanced certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) can be advantageous. Experience in media planning, campaign management, revenue operations, or commercial analysis (ideally within digital or audio). High level of proficiency in Excel and data tools (e.g. DOMO, Tableau, Google Sheets). Strong attention to detail and confidence working with large sets of commercial data. Ability to interpret inventory and margin trends and communicate insights clearly. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work cross-functionally. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
