About the role This is a newly created role focused on budgeting and financial management, designed to support effective business planning and decision-making within the Knowledge and Information Technology (KIT) directorate. As the finance business partner for a key directorate, you will contribute to strategic financial discussions, provide analysis, and support the development of budgeting processes aligned with business priorities. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Management Accounting, you will be based on site alongside your KIT business partner, working closely with managers to provide financial guidance and build collaborative working relationships. The role requires a strategic mindset and strong analytical skills, with responsibility for developing budgets, delivering clear financial reporting, and communicating effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. You’ll need to explain financial information in a clear, accessible way for technical and operational teams. Experience in finance and budgeting, along with the ability to manage risk and uncertainty, will be essential as you develop a strong understanding of the KIT function and its financial drivers.
