Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Accountant will work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide support for budgeting and forecasting. Responsibilities: Manage the coordination and consolidation of the budgeting and forecasting process. Department P&L review and cost analysis. Month end Balance Sheet reconciliations. Fortnightly labour roster review. Revenue analysis. Capex project cost tracking. Work with relevant leadership team to ensure P&L forecasting accuracy. Knowledge of IFRS16. Monitor and regularly report on the accuracy of previous forecasts and budget including variance commentary outlining the reasons for any deviation. Payroll and related tasks including novated lease reconciliation, payroll tax and work cover submissions. Provide accurate, timely and insightful reporting with a focus on continuous improvement and operational performance as it relates to financial performance. Responsible for the production and consolidation of divisional performance reporting requirements including detailed variance analysis and relevant commentary. Desired Experience & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. CPA/CA certification or currently studying towards recognised accounting qualification. 3 years of experience in accounting or related field. Experience in budgeting and forecasting in medium to large organisations Month end review Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting processes Experience in scenario modelling Experience in payroll processing including Awards and CBA interpretations. Skills & Capabilities: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
