We have an exciting opportunity for a tertiary qualified accounting professional to join the team reporting to the Finance Business Partner, this role will be responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyse financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. This role will not just call on your strong technical skills, but also the ability to think outside the box and play a critical role within the Finance team. Key Responsibilities include: Monthly management reports including profit and loss, variance analysis and insightful commentary for both AU & NZ Preparation and analysis of revenue reporting including identifying trends and tracking performance Benchmark reporting for different departments Balance sheet reconciliations Month end journals, GL reconciliations, prepayments, and accruals Preparation and analysis of reports including cost of sales and KPIs Review and manage credit flow forecasting Assist in cash flow forecasting Dividend preparation including minutes Reconciliation and reporting of income and expenses for Events Fixed asset register maintenance Bank reconciliations AASB 16 Leases journals and reconciliations Rent, fitout and parking reconciliations Banking support Reconciling and authenticating data from different sources Ensure transactions, supporting workpapers and EOM deadlines are met to the highest standard Tax Reporting Preparation of monthly and quarterly BAS / GST lodgements Assist in compliance requirements in relation to Payroll Tax, FBT, and Income Tax Other Duties Provide support to the AR and AP functions as required Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasting Assist in year end audit Assist with maintaining the Finance team’s procedural documents Other ad-hoc duties as required Required Qualification & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have completed a tertiary qualification and be CPA / CA qualified. This role would suit someone with a minimum of 4 years experience in a commercial accounting role in a similar environment and you will have preferably had exposure to Australian and New Zealand tax obligations. You will draw on your excellent communication and relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders, high attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Proficient technological skills are essential for this role, with previous experience with Excel and Oracle Netsuite beneficial.
