Senior Finance Manager, Pacific Financial Control Job ID 212338 Posted 12-May-2025 Service line Advisory Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Accounting/Finance Location(s) Brisbane - Queensland - Australia - Lead and manage the Advisory Financial Control Operations for CBRE Pacific - Support the continued growth of a global commercial real estate business - Hybrid role based in Brisbane CBD, Land of the Turrbal People About the opportunity: - Lead and coordinate a timely and accurate month-end close process in line with US GAAP and Group reporting timelines. - Oversee all local statutory reporting, indirect tax, and corporate income tax filings in collaboration with auditors and tax advisors. - Ensure the consistent application of financial and operational controls, including SOX and global policy implementation. - Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial records and systems, while identifying opportunities for process and system improvements. - Partner with the CFO, Finance Business Partners and regional/global teams on key initiatives, accounting treatments and policy changes. - Provide guidance on technical accounting matters, including US GAAP and IFRS interpretations. - Lead and develop a high-performing controllership team. - Co-ordinate with Shared Services, Tax and Treasury teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance. - Contribute to global finance transformation and continuous improvement projects. About You: - Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA or equivalent) with minimum 10 years post qualified experience. - Previous recent experience with US GAAP or ASX controlled environment or Big 4 audit experience will be highly advantageous. - Strong AIFRS and local tax knowledge including FBT and GST and experience with Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting. - Demonstrated expertise in financial control, audit and internal controls. - Well-developed leadership skills and the ability to lead and mentor teams located in Brisbane and offshore to drive best practice. - Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to explain complex problems to all stakeholders. - Maintain a practical, hands-on approach to problem solving. - Resilient in challenging situations and able to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
