An opportunity exists for a dynamic and talented Graphic Designer to join our club and use their creative skills to nurture and protect our brand across multiple touchpoints and audiences. The Graphic Designer reports to the Senior Graphic Designer and is an integral member of our Brand Team. This is a hands-on role responsible for delivering smooth, efficient, and timely design solutions that support all business units, including football, partnerships, hospitality, membership, community, foundation, merchandise, game development, and game day.
This position is based in Townsville at Cowboys HQ (Hutchinson Builders Centre) and services the club’s business units. This is a fixed-term contract opportunity for up to 6 months.
Pre-requisites
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design
- Minimum 3-5 years of graphic design experience as a freelancer, commercially within an agency, or as an in-house designer
- Competency in the following Adobe applications: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and, Adobe After Effects
- Experience in designing for digital, social, and printed media
- Experience in print production across a range of marketing collateral and signage

- Ability to create design solutions for projects with a high visual impact, while adhering to established brand guidelines
- Ability to produce branded pieces that drive emotion and engagement while generating revenue and fulfilling partner entitlements
- Ability to deliver outcomes that satisfy the requirements of multiple stakeholders
- Creativity, conceptual thinking, and the ability to problem-solve
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
- Exceptional work ethic with the flexibility to work outside standard hours
