About the Role - Director of Construction to oversee and lead high-profile commercial construction projects in the Atlanta market. The Director of Construction will play a key role in managing project teams, ensuring successful project delivery, and maintaining the high standards of excellence that our brand is known for. Responsibilities -
- Project Oversight: Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and guide project managers, superintendents, and other construction staff, cultivating a high-performance team that reflects our commitment to excellence.
- Client and Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and designers, ensuring that communication is clear, efficient, and responsive throughout the lifecycle of each project.
- Budget and Schedule Management: Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure that projects stay within financial and time constraints, while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement project strategies, aligning project goals with the company's broader business objectives and market opportunities.
- Quality Control & Assurance: Ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of craftsmanship, design, and luxury finishes, including implementing quality control measures and monitoring performance at every phase of the project.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements, while prioritizing sustainability and environmentally conscious building practices.
- Problem-Solving & Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues proactively, working to resolve them quickly and effectively to prevent project delays or complications.
Qualifications -
- Minimum of 8-10 years of construction management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing projects in at least one, if not more, of the residential, retail, industrial & tenant interiors sectors
- Proven track record of managing and successfully delivering large construction projects, particularly in the Atlanta market.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on fostering collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional knowledge of project management software, scheduling tools, and budgeting techniques.
- In-depth understanding of high-end construction practices, including a keen eye for design, detail, and quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working under pressure while maintaining the highest standards of excellence.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications a plus).
