About the role

Equipped Civil is seeking an experienced Vac Truck Operator / Labourer to join our growing team based in Burton. This role is ideal for someone with strong NDD/vacuum excavation equipment experience who takes pride in safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate hydro vacuum excavation trucks for non-destructive digging
Safely locate and expose underground services including water, gas, electrical, and communications
Interpret and work from BYDA plans
Complete daily pre-starts, routine maintenance, and site documentation
Assist with general labouring duties across civil works projects
Work collaboratively with field crews to deliver quality and safety on every job.
Work closely with field crews to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard
Adhere to all safety, environmental, and site-specific requirements

About you:

Proven experience operating NDD / vacuum excavation equipment (VTI trucks preferred)
Current HR driver’s licence (essential)
White Card (essential)
Solid understanding of underground services and BYDA procedures
Experience in reinstatement works and general civil construction
Strong safety-first mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced site environments
Confined Space Entry and First Aid/CPR tickets (desirable but not essential)
