The Opportunity

As COO, you’ll play a key leadership role in translating our strategic vision into operational reality. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you will lead company-wide operations with a focus on scalable systems, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all operational functions to delivery business strategy and scale effectively.
Drive continuous improvement in systems, tools and processes to reduce costs and enhance productivity and efficiency.
Build and lead high-performing operational teams.
Ensure our technology and infrastructure support current needs and future growth.
Monitor performance using data-driven insights.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation across teams.
Champion customer-centric operations, ensuring our clients receive best-in-class support and implementation.
Stay ahead of trends in SaaS, EdTech, and AI to bring innovative practices to aXcelerate.

What You’ll Bring

Proven experience as a COO or equivalent executive role, ideally in a B2B SaaS company.
Deep understanding of SaaS operations, customer lifecycle, and subscription models.
Strong experience building scalable systems for growth, both locally and internationally.
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and aligning technical and business operations.
Expertise in customer success strategy and operational optimisation.
Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach and strong commercial acumen.
Experience with AI adoption and digital transformation initiatives.
Knowledge of Australia’s VET sector and corporate training (desirable).
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field, a relevant Master's degree (e.g. MBA) is desirable

This is a Brisbane based role located in our modern offices in Toowong.
