This work supports the future Submarine Construction Yard, one of the largest defence projects in Australian history. The works include civil construction such as drainage, excavation, pavements and concrete. This is a long-term project with strong pipeline of future work. About the Opportunity We need a Leading Hand to run our night shift civil crew on the ANI enabling works project. You will report to the Night Supervisor and lead a small team on site each night. This role covers a mix of civil works, including drainage, excavation, pavements, FRP and concrete. You will keep the crew safe, on schedule and working to a high standard. Key Accountabilities Lead and direct the night shift crew Allocate daily tasks to crew members Check work meets quality and safety standards Monitor plant, equipment and materials on site Report hazards and stop unsafe work Support new workers with on-the-job guidance Keep the Night Supervisor updated on progress Required Skills and Competencies Experience in civil construction (drainage, excavation, pavements, concrete) Experience leading a small crew White Card (construction induction) Current driver's licence Comfortable working night shift At ACCIONA, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment where our employees can grow and develop their careers.
