Melbourne Wealth Management Contract or Temporary Working with a leading global wealth management firm in their Melbourne office, this initial 12 month contract role will provide support in the Transaction Services operations team. The team covers key functionalities including managing cash payments, funding positions, settlements, and bookings across Wealth Management Businesses. This is a key support role in a fast-paced environment, with the opportunity to cross train on other functions and get involved in projects. The ideal candidate will have around 2-4 years of experience in a Wealth management operations, payments or equity operations role as well as some exposure to project work and interest in projects eg. Project support/coordination Strong proficiency in Excel. Experiences in leveraging AI and digital tools. We are seeking a detail-oriented and forward-thinking professional to join our Transaction Services team. This role is responsible for accurate data entry, payment processing, journal management, handle cash requests, and support for daily client’s money segregation process. The ideal candidate will not only have strong operational discipline and attention to detail, but also a strong interest in using AI tools, automation, data analytics, and process improvement to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and service quality. Key Responsibilities: Accurate Data Entry into Internal Systems. Responsible for entering and updating information in our in-house systems with attention to detail and adherence to data integrity standards Timely and accurate processing of payments and journals. Daily management of client cash payment requests and addressing advisor enquiries. Understanding of client asset segregation rules and related regulatory requirements. Support bank accounts closure processes and ensure compliance. Participate in ad-hoc project work to build capability, improve team outcomes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Leverage automation and AI tools to drive process automation via reduction of manual work and improve process efficiency with enhanced risk control framework Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Basic knowledge of VBA, coding, scripting, or automation tools would be a significant advantage, particularly for supporting reporting automation, data analysis, process improvement, and the reduction of manual tasks Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and 2-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant wealth management operations role, payments, reporting, Project management experience not mandatory, but seeking at least some exposure to project work and interest in projects eg. Project support/coordination Ability to manage high volumes of data under tight deadlines. Strong organizational and time management skills Detail-oriented and process driven with a strong focus on accuracy Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills Strong proficiency in Excel.
