EDUCATION SUPPORT ASSISTANT – FULL TIME - ONGOING CONTRACT · Position commences – Term Three – Monday 20 July 2026 · Year 7 – 10 support work – great students, wonderful school. An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified and experienced Education Assistant to join St George’s Anglican Grammar School in the heart of the Perth CBD from the start of Term Three 2026 . Our Education Assistants provide personalised guidance, support, and care to St George’s Anglican Grammar School students both individually and in small groups. They work both inside and outside of the classroom and assist our students to overcome a range of academic and physical life challenges to help support them achieve a successful journey through school. Our Education Assistants seek to maximise the learning outcomes and opportunities for a diverse array of students who have been identified as needing adjustments and/or interventions to their learning program by the Head of Inclusive Education. You will be expected to support the classroom teachers, across our two campuses, to establish an effective learning environment for all students and provide adjustments to learning materials where needed. You will be the lead educator for our LEAP programme which works with students in a small group setting to improve their numeracy and literacy skills through the MacqLit Programme. Experience and training in the delivery of MacqLit would be regarded as highly desirable, although training would also be provided for our preferred candidate. You will accompany classes off site to a range of sporting venues, art galleries, museums and at our weekly chapel services at St George’s Cathedral. You will also support students who have a variety of physical needs which need to be met by our Education Assistants. The successful applicant should ideally hold a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support / Disability Support or be actively working towards completing these. Above all we are looking for someone who has the willingness to engage, connect, empathise and care for our students and who will commit to joining our Inclusive Education Team for the foreseeable future as the relationships one builds with these students is crucial to their ongoing development and growth. Key Selection Criteria: Qualifications, Skills and Experience Certificate IV or Certificate III in Education Support / Disability Support or equivalent or a willingness to commence studying towards achieving this immediately. Training and experience in MacqLit. A demonstrated ability to address students’ varying intellectual, emotional, and physical abilities and needs across a senior years setting. Demonstrated experience in working with high school students. Excellent ICT and administrative skills. High levels of literacy and numeracy skills. Current Senior First Aid Certificate, National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.
