Working across all teams within the department, the role collaborates with staff and stakeholders to coordinate the design, delivery and review of library services, ensuring they remain responsive to client needs and aligned with the Library's strategic objectives. The role contributes to projects that shape how services are delivered across the Library, using research, data and stakeholder insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. Through capability development, service innovation and cross-functional collaboration, the successful applicant will help build service quality, support new ways of working and enhance the client experience for students, researchers and staff. Key responsibilities Leading and contributing to staff capability initiatives, including training, onboarding and professional development programs that build confidence, capability and consistency in service delivery. Delivering frontline services through staffing the Library's enquiries channels, both online and in-person, including participation in evening and weekend shifts as required. Contributing to and/or leading strategic projects and continuous improvement activities that enhance the Library's services, client experience and operational effectiveness. Directing the collection of research and data analytics that support enhanced decision-making as part of continuous improvement. Actively building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to work effectively across multi-disciplinary projects to enhance and improve the Library's service provision to clients. You have Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills that enable effective engagement, collaboration and partnership building with internal and external stakeholders in both face-to-face and online environments. Demonstrated contribution to major projects, working effectively under pressure, balancing multiple priorities to ensure Library and University goals are met, timelines are realised, and outcomes are delivered. Extensive experience in the design, delivery and review of innovative client services and the capacity to evaluate and centre the client experience when delivering services. Extensive experience in contributing to a positive team environment and/or developing, training and coaching staff to deliver excellent client services. Remuneration Base Salary Range: $109,014 to $120,596 (HEW 7) This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis until January 2027 . The incumbent will be employed as a shiftworker , working to an allocated shift roster including weekend and evening shifts as required.
