Head of Operations Senior Leadership role Deputy to the General Manager Flexible work arrangements ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly capable and commercially astute Head of Operations to lead operational performance across Apex Radiology and act as the deputy to the General Manager . This is a senior leadership role with broad scope across multiple sites, where you will drive operational excellence, lead high-performing teams, and ensure consistent service delivery across both metropolitan and regional WA. You will play a critical role in translating strategy into execution, supporting business performance, and providing strong, steady leadership across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day operations across Apex Radiology’s multi-site network Act as Deputy to the General Manager, representing the GM in key forums and decisions Drive performance across patient access, workflow efficiency, utilisation, and turnaround times Lead, coach, and develop Site Managers and operational leaders to build a high-performance culture Support delivery of financial outcomes, including productivity, cost control, and EBIT performance Partner with clinical leaders to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and service consistency Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards Strengthen relationships with referrers, WA health stakeholders, and regional partners Lead operational improvement initiatives across both metro and regional services ABOUT YOU Proven experience in a senior multi-site operations leadership role (radiology will be highly regarded) Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted deputy / second-in-command Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a track record of delivering performance outcomes A people-focused leader with experience building capable, accountable teams Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including working with clinical teams and external partners Experience leading operational improvement and change initiatives Demonstrated strategic planning and project management.
