Details: The Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs (OATSIA) is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to fill the role of Senior Director. This Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identified position provides leadership across strategic policy, governance, Closing the Gap implementation, whole-of-government coordination and stakeholder engagement to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the ACT. Reporting to the Executive Branch Manager, the successful applicant will provide high-level advice to executives and Ministers, lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee complex policy and governance work programs, build and maintain strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and key stakeholders, and represent the ACT Government in local and national forums. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the implementation of the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Agreement 2019–2028 and support the ACT Government's commitments under the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.
