Due to significant growth at their Welshpool dealership, our client is seeking a Parts Interpreter to join their team. Our client supplies and maintains a wide range of equipment including the following: Posi-Track Skid Steers & Compact Track Loaders Wheel Loaders Excavators Graders Rollers Dump Trucks Compaction Equipment Site Dumpers Forestry Tractors & Equipment Buckets & Attachment The Role As a Parts Interpreter, you will play a key role in supporting the workshop, field service technicians, and retail customers by providing accurate, timely, and efficient parts solutions. You will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, quoting, and processing parts requests from both in-house stock and external suppliers. The role involves regular interaction with mechanics, technicians, suppliers, and customers via phone, email, and over the counter. Parts may be genuine OEM or aftermarket and sourced locally, nationally, or internationally as required to meet customer and operational needs. Key duties include: Identifying parts using online catalogues, manuals, and parts software Sourcing parts from internal stock or external suppliers Processing parts orders and coordinating freight and logistics Quoting, invoicing, and tracking orders using in-house systems Maintaining accurate records of parts transactions and stock levels Assisting with inventory management and stock takes Picking, packing, and dispatching parts for workshop and customers Providing high-quality customer service across counter, phone, and email Working closely with workshop and service teams to ensure smooth workflow Preparing detailed and accurate quotes for customers About the Candidate We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual with a strong understanding of parts and equipment. The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter , ideally in construction, earthmoving, heavy equipment, or automotive sectors Knowledge of compact equipment, hydraulics, engines, or undercarriage systems (highly regarded) Strong computer skills and experience using parts or inventory management systems Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks Strong communication skills and a professional customer service approach Ability to work collaboratively within a small, supportive team A valid WA Driver’s Licence Full Australian working rights Forklift Ticket A mechanical trade background or hands-on industry experience will be highly regarded. Training and product support will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn.
