Sales & Operations Assistant Hot Things – Barbecues, Heaters & Outdoor Kitchens Balcatta, WA Hot Things is one of Perth’s leading specialist retailers of barbecues, smokers, wood heaters and outdoor kitchens. We are a family-owned business with a small, supportive team and we’re looking for the right person to join us. This is not a typical retail position. One day you might be helping a customer choose a barbecue, the next you could be processing online orders, assisting with a local delivery, receiving stock, or helping keep our showroom looking its best. We’re looking for someone who is intelligent, reliable, practical and comfortable working with both customers and computers. Experience is helpful, but attitude is far more important. We can teach products and systems. What we’re really looking for is someone who is willing to learn, take initiative and pitch in wherever needed. The Role · Assisting customers in-store, over the phone and online · Processing online orders and customer enquiries · Learning our product range and providing helpful advice · Assisting with stock receivals and stock movements · Helping with local deliveries using company vehicles · General showroom presentation and maintenance · Supporting the team with day-to-day operations About You · Friendly, confident and easy to get along with · Comfortable using computers and learning new software · Current WA Driver’s Licence · Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving stock · Reliable, punctual and well presented · Able to work independently and as part of a team · Willing to learn and take on a variety of tasks An interest in barbecues, outdoor living, camping, home improvement or hands-on hobbies would be an advantage, but is not essential.
