The organisation values safety, reliability, and professional growth for all employees.Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Fitter role based in Fremantle, WA. The Mechanical Fitter will carry out daily tasks, including routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and repairs or component replacements to minimise downtime. The role involves conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on a range of industrial equipment, using appropriate tools and machining techniques where required. The Mechanical Fitter will also document work performed, follow strict safety and quality standards, and collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to support efficient plant operations.QualificationsStrong fitting and machinery skills, including assembling, installing, aligning, and commissioning mechanical equipment.Proficiency in machining and the safe use of workshop tools and equipment.Experience in maintenance and preventive maintenance of industrial plant and machinery.Relevant trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade).Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.Commitment to safe work practices, with knowledge of OH&S requirements and lock-out/tag-out procedures.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and within a team.Previous experience in manufacturing or food production in Australia is highly regarded.Current driver’s licence and ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening, as required.
