The Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Catering Manager / Head Chef to join our aged care communities in a full-time, Monday to Friday role. In this hands-on position, you will lead the kitchen team in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that support the health and wellbeing of our residents. You will oversee menu planning, stock control, and compliance with food safety standards, ensuring every meal is prepared with care, flavour, and variety. As the leader of day-to-day kitchen operations, you will supervise and roster catering staff while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture. With a strong focus on fresh, homestyle cooking, you will work closely with residents and care staff to accommodate individual dietary needs and create a dining experience that truly feels like home. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the catering team to maintain consistently high standards in food preparation and servicePlan and create seasonal, nutritious, and appetising menus that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferencesEnsure full compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, food safety regulations, and HACCP requirementsEngage with residents to understand their meal preferences and continuously enhance the dining experienceOversee kitchen operations, including budgeting, stock control, and staff training, to ensure efficiency and quality What You’ll Bring Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higherFood Safety Certificate (mandatory)Minimum two years of experience in a similar catering or chef roleStrong leadership skills with experience in managing a kitchen teamKnowledge of aged care dietary requirements, including texture-modified diets and food-based supplementationA passion for providing high-quality meals that contribute to a homely and enjoyable dining environmentHold a current NDIS Check (or willing to obtain) What's in it for you?
