Exodas is a well-established and growing transport and logistics company carrying general and refrigerated freight operating along the East Coast with depots/yards in Mareeba, Innisfail, Tully, Townsville, Bowen, Mackay, Brisbane, Warnervale, Sydney and Melbourne, and head office in Yatala. Based at our Mareeba depot you will lead a team of local PUD drivers and forklift operators/yard-hands dealing with a variety of sensitive freight in refrigerated trailers and tautliner trailers. The role: Monday to Friday (6.00am to 3.00pm) Every second Saturday (6.00am until finish) About you: Strong time management and communication skills are imperative as ensuring loading and unloading deadlines are met is a critical aspect of this role Team leadership is a key requirement Experience with fresh produce and refrigerated freight is a MUST Current Forklift Licence (LF) is REQUIRED HC (or MC) licence is REQUIRED Good understanding of food handling best practice and legislation Knowledge of appropriate load restraint equipment and techniques Experience with load planning would be beneficial Ability to work unsupervised Ability to problem solve Sound literacy, numeracy, and computer skills including the use of Excel This role includes assisting your team, helping each other load and secure freight from time to time.
