Chef - The Oaks Hotel Motel ( Albion Park Rail ) The Oaks Hotel Motel is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our culinary team on a full-time basis in Albion Park Rail, NSW . In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality dishes that delight our guests and maintain the reputation of our establishment. As Chef, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dining experiences and ensuring our kitchen operates efficiently and to the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Key responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and plating standards Manage food preparation, cooking times and temperatures to ensure quality and consistency Oversee kitchen operations and maintain a clean, organised and hygienic working environment Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as required Source and manage ingredient inventory, ensuring quality produce and cost-effective purchasing Create and develop new menu items whilst maintaining the hotel's culinary standards Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health and hygiene requirements Liaise with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction Monitor and manage food wastage, portion control and kitchen efficiency Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food trends and culinary techniques What we're looking for Formal culinary qualification or substantial experience working in a professional kitchen environment Proven experience as a Chef or Senior Cook in a hospitality setting Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and menu planning Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene practices and relevant regulations 5. Strong organisational and time management skills to work in a fast-paced environment 6. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 8.
