The Opportunity As the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), you will be a pivotal clinical leader working alongside the Director of Care to drive best-practice outcomes across the home. This is more than a role — it’s your chance to shape clinical standards, mentor teams, and elevate care delivery for residents with complex and high-acuity needs. What You’ll Be Doing Lead and oversee clinical care delivery including assessments, care planning, and documentation Drive compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards Coach, mentor, and develop RNs, ENs, and Care Staff to build a high-performing clinical team Identify performance gaps early and support improvement plans in collaboration with leadership Analyse incident data and clinical indicators to drive continuous improvement Lead infection prevention & control (IPC) initiatives and outbreak management Oversee safe medication management, including high-risk medications and incident reviews Support best-practice palliative and end-of-life care with dignity and compassion Play a key role in accreditation readiness, audits, and policy development Participate in a shared on-call roster What We’re Looking For Registered Nurse (Division 1) with unrestricted AHPRA registration Experience in a clinical leadership role (RN2 or equivalent) Strong knowledge of aged care standards, clinical governance, and AN-ACC Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams Solid clinical capability across assessment, care planning, wound care, medication, and palliative care Experience with audits, accreditation, and clinical registers IPC leadership or champion experience (highly regarded) Excellent communication, organisation, and documentation skills A genuine passion for delivering person-centred aged care Why This Role Stands Out Join a highly regarded aged care provider with a strong reputation Work in a supportive leadership team that values your input Make a real impact on resident outcomes and team capability Opportunity to shape clinical culture and influence care standards Relocation support and career growth opportunities available Ready to Take the Next Step?
