About This Role Your new role: As An Assistant In Nursing In Ward 2A Orthopaedic Unit, You Will Support Registered Nurses In Delivering Person-centred Care And Assist With Daily Ward Operations By Assisting Registered Nurses with the delivery of delegated patient care and daily nursing activities Observing patients and reporting changes in condition to support care planning and evaluation Supporting a safe and comfortable patient environment through routine ward duties and equipment checks Assisting with the maintenance of clinical supplies, restocking and general ward organisation Contributing to a positive team culture through effective communication and teamwork Escalating patient concerns promptly and working within established clinical guidelines and procedures About You You are a compassionate and reliable team member who delivers quality patient care and works well within a collaborative healthcare team with: A genuine commitment to providing respectful, patient-centred care The ability to work under the supervision and direction of Registered Nurses Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and colleagues Flexibility and reliability to work across a rotating roster of shifts A proactive approach to teamwork and maintaining a safe ward environment A Certificate III relevant to the clinical area (highly regarded) Willingness to learn new systems including the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Check out our quick tips and application essentials!
