Highway Supplies Pty Ltd t/a Ravensthorpe Roadhouse Retail Supervisor (ANZSCO – Retail Supervisor) Full-time/Permanent $80,000 - $82,000 (salary will be commensurate to qualifications and experience) Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of retail sales and customer service staff Prepare staff rosters, allocate duties and ensure adequate staffing levels during each shift Train, coach and provide ongoing guidance to retail employees Monitor staff performance and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous and professional service Respond to customer enquiries, complaints and service issues in a timely manner Supervise point-of-sale transactions, cash handling, EFTPOS payments and daily till reconciliations Ensure products are correctly priced, labelled, displayed and replenished Monitor stock levels and coordinate the ordering and receipt of merchandise Check incoming deliveries against purchase orders and report damaged or incorrect stock Monitor stock rotation, expiry dates, wastage and inventory discrepancies Assist with regular stocktakes and implement measures to minimise stock losses Ensure promotional displays and merchandising activities are implemented correctly Maintain the cleanliness, presentation and security of the retail and customer service areas Ensure staff comply with workplace health and safety, food safety, hygiene and fuel-site safety procedures Complete opening and closing procedures and ensure company property, keys and security systems are properly controlled Assist the Retail Manager with achieving sales, customer service and operational performance targets Perform other supervisory duties associated with the operation of the roadhouse, as required Qualifications and Experience: Relevant AQF Certificate III or higher qualification 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications Applicants with qualifications will need to demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience Retail Manager (ANZSCO – Retail Manager (General)) Full-time/Permanent $82,000 - $85,000 (salary will be commensurate to qualifications and experience) Duties and Responsibilities: Organise and control the overall retail operations of Ravensthorpe Roadhouse Determine the appropriate product range, stock levels and service standards to meet customer demand Develop and implement purchasing, pricing, sales and marketing policies Monitor sales performance, market trends and customer preferences and take corrective action where required Prepare and analyse sales forecasts, operating budgets and expenditure reports Monitor business costs, profitability and financial performance against established targets Manage supplier relationships and negotiate prices, purchasing arrangements and delivery schedules Order merchandise and ensure sufficient stock is available to meet operational requirements Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation, wastage, shrinkage and damaged or expired products Plan and coordinate stocktakes and investigate inventory discrepancies Recruit, train, supervise, motivate and performance-manage retail and customer service staff Prepare staff rosters and ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained Establish and monitor customer service standards Respond to customer enquiries, complaints and significant service issues Plan and coordinate promotional activities, merchandising displays and seasonal campaigns Ensure point-of-sale, cash-handling and banking procedures are properly followed Maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, stock movements, expenses and other financial transactions Ensure the roadhouse is maintained in a clean, safe, secure and presentable condition Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety, fuel-site safety, employment and consumer requirements Implement operational procedures to improve efficiency, customer satisfaction and profitability Perform other managerial duties associated with the operation of the roadhouse, as required Qualifications and Experience: Relevant AQF Diploma 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications Applicants with qualifications will need to demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
