At Sam Autocare Pty Ltd, based in Underwood, QLD, We are seeking multiple experienced Motor Mechanic who will be responsible for carrying out scheduled maintenance and repairs of a wide array of vehicles at our workshop. Reporting to the owner, you will be responsible for ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and thoroughly. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in petrol and light motor vehicles using diagnostic equipment and manufacturer testing procedures. 2. Inspect, dismantle and repair engines, transmissions, clutches, steering systems, suspension systems, braking systems and other mechanical components. 3. Replace or repair worn, damaged or defective parts, including engine components, fuel systems, cooling systems and exhaust systems. 4. Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance, including oil and filter changes, lubrication, tune-ups and fluid replacement. 5. Reassemble engines and mechanical components following repair and ensure correct installation and operation. 6. Test and adjust repaired vehicles to verify performance, safety and compliance with manufacturer specifications. 7. Use computerised diagnostic tools to identify faults, reset service indicators and perform electronic system testing. 8. Carry out wheel alignments, brake inspections, suspension repairs and steering adjustments where required. 9. Inspect vehicles and identify any additional repair or maintenance requirements, providing accurate reports and recommendations. 10. Maintain detailed service records, repair documentation and parts usage in accordance with workplace procedures. 11. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and environmental regulations. 12. Maintain workshop equipment, tools and a clean, organised work environment. 13. Liaise professionally with customers regarding vehicle faults, repair options and maintenance recommendations when required. 14. Assist in training apprentices and junior workshop staff as directed by management. Eligibility Criteria: Experience • 1–2-year experience required in the field Qualifications • AQF Certificate III in Light vehicle Mechanical Technology with 2 years’ experience OR • Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis OR • At least three years of relevant experience in same position may substitute for the asking formal qualifications.
