With increasing demand for carrier-grade telecommunications and network infrastructure projects, the company is seeking an experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer to support the planning, implementation, optimisation and management of critical network systems. Position OverviewThe Computer Network and Systems Engineer will be responsible for analysing, designing, implementing, maintaining and optimising network and systems infrastructure supporting telecommunications operations. The role requires strong experience in network engineering, telecommunications environments, systems integration, network performance management and technical troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities·Analyse, design, implement and maintain computer network and systems infrastructure supporting telecommunications operations. ·Monitor network performance, reliability, availability and security and recommend improvements. ·Investigate, diagnose and resolve complex network, systems and telecommunications-related issues. ·Support LAN, WAN, wireless, cloud and telecommunications network environments. ·Evaluate network architecture and recommend upgrades, enhancements and optimisation strategies. ·Support fibre, HFC, broadband, wireless and telecommunications infrastructure projects. ·Configure and maintain routing, switching, network security and communication systems. ·Perform network testing, fault analysis, service assurance and technical troubleshooting activities. ·Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, system procedures and implementation reports. ·Support systems integration activities between telecommunications infrastructure and business platforms. ·Participate in project planning, deployment, commissioning and network migration activities. ·Work closely with clients, vendors, project managers and technical teams to deliver telecommunications projects. Skills and Experience·Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in Computer Networking, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science or related discipline. ·Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Computer Network Engineer, Network Engineer, Telecommunications Engineer or similar role. ·Strong knowledge of network architecture, TCP/IP, routing, switching, network security and systems administration. ·Experience supporting telecommunications, carrier-grade or large-scale network infrastructure environments. ·Experience in network monitoring, fault management, troubleshooting and performance optimisation. ·Exposure to fibre, broadband, wireless, NBN or telecommunications infrastructure projects is highly desirable. ·Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. ·Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within a project environment.
