Tell me about this role The Strategic Communications Advisor is responsible for delivering high-quality media, briefing, and communications support to ensure clear, consistent, and strategic messaging supporting a priority Defence program. In addition, the role leads the development and implementation of communication products tailored to a range of internal and external audiences, ensuring messaging is timely, engaging, and fit-for-purpose. Draft and coordinate media materials, such as press releases, talking points, and responses to media enquiries Deliver brief writing while maintaining alignment with organisational priorities and reputational considerations Prepare concise, accurate, and well‑structured briefs for senior leaders Transform complex information into clear recommendations, key messages, and risk considerations to support effective decision-making Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and consistency What sort of skills do I need?
