ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Director of Community Programs, this is a genuine Senior Manager opportunity offering the chance to lead one of ACON's most significant community health portfolios during an exciting period of growth. You'll provide strategic and operational leadership across programs supporting older LGBTQ people, including home-based care, palliative care, volunteer services and community health initiatives. With responsibility for governance, funding growth, service excellence, financial management and stakeholder engagement, you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening existing services while shaping their future direction. Leading a growing team and representing ACON across government, research and community partnerships, you'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, build capability and position the portfolio for significant expansion over the coming years. DUTIES Lead a diverse portfolio of community health and wellbeing programs across NSW Drive strategic growth through funding opportunities, partnerships and service innovation Strengthen governance, policy and practice frameworks to support service excellence Lead, coach and develop a growing team of leaders, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Manage program budgets, government contracts, financial reporting and funding acquittals Build strategic relationships with government, research, health and community partners Represent ACON across sector forums, committees and key stakeholder groups Oversee program evaluation, quality improvement and evidence-informed practice Ensure compliance with contractual, legislative and organisational requirements Contribute to organisational strategy and the continued growth of Community Programs SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology or a related discipline Significant leadership experience managing complex community, health or human services programs Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams Strong governance, risk management and operational leadership experience Proven experience managing government-funded programs, contracts and budgets Experience driving service improvement and organisational change Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with experience partnering across government and the community sector Strong commercial acumen and financial management capability Experience within community health, aged care, home care, family services, early intervention or similar complex service environments Health promotion, community development or LGBTQ sector experience is highly regarded but not essential BENEFITS Generous salary package plus salary packaging Five weeks annual leave Hybrid working with 50% WFH after onboarding Outstanding wellbeing initiatives and employee support programs Opportunity to shape the future of a growing, high-impact service portfolio Executive exposure with genuine influence across organisational strategy Purpose-driven leadership role with one of Australia's most respected community health organisations Collaborative, values-led culture committed to inclusion, innovation and continuous learning OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS At Lotus Executive Search, we are committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion.
