The role We are looking for an experienced Practice Assistant (PA) to join our Real Estate team, based in Sydney. In this role you will support a partner, special counsel and a team of proactive and engaging lawyers. You’ll work alongside a paralegal / licensed conveyancer, who also provides some PA support. This role is suited to a career PA. The key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows: Responsibilities • Core administrative support including diary and inbox management, meeting coordination, organising domestic and international travel and management of a high volume of internal and external calls • Billing and financial administration including monthly billing support, expense management, client reporting, matter budgeting and coordination of outstanding invoices. • Real estate and transactional support including preparation and amendment of property and leasing documentation, coordination of transaction processes, management of critical dates and assistance with settlement and conveyancing matters. • Team support including proactively anticipating needs, managing competing priorities, coordinating workflows and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Requirements • Prior experience as a Legal Secretary or Practice Assistant within a law firm • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and draft correspondence and documents • Previous experience supporting monthly billing processes using relevant financial software preferable • Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and confident adopting new technologies and systems • Willingness to attend the office for a minimum of 4 days weekly • A proactive, collaborative and client-focused approach, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
