Your new role As a People Advisor, you will provide practical, customer-focused HR advice across a range of people-related matters. Acting as a key escalation point, you will support managers and staff in navigating policies, enterprise agreements, and case management processes. Key responsibilities include: Providing timely HR advice across employee relations, recruitment, and workforce matters Interpreting and applying enterprise agreements, policies, and procedures Supporting end-to-end recruitment activities Assisting with early-stage case management (e.g. performance, conduct, workplace concerns) Partnering with stakeholders to support people initiatives and organisational change Contributing to a team environment where priorities may shift and flexibility is key This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable working in a changing environment and willing to get involved wherever needed. What you'll need to succeed Proven experience in an HR Advisory role within a complex organisation Strong working knowledge of enterprise agreements, employment legislation, and HR frameworks, with the ability to apply this in a practical and risk-aware way Demonstrated experience in EA interpretation and employee relations case management (e.g. performance, conduct, workplace issues) Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes in a high-volume environment Ability to act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing clear, contextualised HR guidance Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to influence and build relationships across diverse business areas Experience supporting or contributing to organisational change and workforce initiatives Ability to analyse information, identify trends, and contribute to continuous improvement of HR practices Demonstrated capability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgement, and work autonomously A proactive, adaptable approach, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and support across a broad range of HR activities Experience within a higher education setting (desirable) What you'll get in return Opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative HR team Exposure to fast paced environment 3 month labour hire contract What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
