Fabrication Supervisor Henderson, Perth WA | Permanent Full-Time | Workshop-based leadership role Steelstruct Engineering is seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to lead a skilled workshop team at our Henderson facility. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a trade-qualified supervisor who can keep work moving, set clear standards, and take ownership of safety, quality, delivery and labour efficiency. About Steelstruct Steelstruct Engineering is a privately owned Western Australian company delivering integrated engineering, fabrication, machining, hardfacing, fitting and maintenance solutions for the mining, mineral processing, infrastructure and defence sectors. From our Henderson workshop, we manufacture and refurbish process-critical components and structural, mechanical and piping packages for major OEM and end-user customers. Our capability includes modern fabrication equipment, CNC machining, strong QA/QC systems and large-scale lifting capacity. About the Role: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Fabrication Supervisor will lead day-to-day workshop execution across an assigned fabrication area. You will coordinate labour, materials, workflow and priorities to ensure work is completed safely, to specification, on time and within the allocated hours. You will be the key link between the workshop floor, Operations, Project Engineers and QA. The role needs someone who can lead from the floor, look ahead, remove roadblocks early and ensure the team is set up for the next task before current work stalls. Scope: The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for leading the safe, efficient and quality-focused delivery of fabrication work within an assigned workshop area. The role is accountable for coordinating labour, materials, workflow and priorities to ensure customer work is completed in accordance with drawings, job cards, specifications, ITPs and production schedules. The Supervisor will take ownership of day-to-day workshop execution, labour efficiency, quality outcomes, housekeeping and safety standards, while working closely with Operations, Project Engineers and QA to identify and resolve issues early. Key responsibilities of this role will include: Plan and prioritise fabrication work. Coordinate labour, materials and resources. Give clear direction to workshop trades. Monitor progress and identify/escalate issues early. Ensure work follows drawings, job cards, ITPs and specifications. Check dimensions, fit-up, weld quality and workmanship. Maintain safe work practices and good housekeeping. Support team development through coaching and accountability.
