About the Role We are seeking a hands-on and dependable Maintenance Officer to join our team across Rosewood’s Residential Aged Care Facilities and Support Office on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will deliver responsive and preventative maintenance services that help maintain safe, comfortable and well-presented environments for our residents, staff and visitors. Key Responsibilities Respond promptly to maintenance requests and accurately record actions within the Maintenance Management System (MEX). Complete scheduled preventative maintenance in accordance with site requirements. Maintain chemical and tool storage areas in a safe, clean and compliant condition. Liaise with and support external contractors on site where required. Escalate specialist or complex maintenance requirements appropriately. Complete general repairs to furniture, fittings and equipment. Carry out minor painting and patching works. Assist with basic plumbing maintenance such as unclogging sinks and replacing washers (licensed work excluded). Support room setups and furniture movements for resident activities and events. Replace filtration elements, water filters and assist with basic HVAC maintenance activities. Promote a safe workplace by following WHS requirements and reporting hazards and incidents. Selection Criteria Essential Demonstrated experience in general maintenance or facilities support. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Practical problem-solving skills with a proactive approach. Ability to work independently and contribute positively within a team. Effective communication and basic computer literacy. National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain). Current drivers license. Australian working rights. Desirable Current Test & Tag certification (or willingness to obtain – supported by Rosewood). Experience working within aged care, healthcare or similar environments. Why Join Rosewood?
