About the role Campbell Scientific Australia is seeking an Application Engineer/Specialist whose role is focused on delivering systems and instrumentation solutions in the Environmental, Infrastructure or Renewables markets. Ideal applicants will be comfortable building client relationships with engineers, scientists and professionals from the public and private sectors, and collaborate with a broader highly knowledgeable team to design, supply and support monitoring solutions custom‑designed to client applications. For the right candidate there is also opportunity to evolve towards a role more focused on project execution focusing on National Meteorological and Hydrological Services. What you’ll be doing Play a key role in delivering instrumentation related services to clients in alignment with Campbell Scientific’s ARCTIC values— Accountability, Respect, Client-Centric, Teamwork, Innovation, and Continuous Improvement. Provide hardware and software support for new and existing customers. Provide pre and post sales technical support to customers including but not limited to complex system design and troubleshooting issues. Work with the team towards small scale and large scale project execution. Write data logger programs as part of sold consultancy time. Provide accurate and timely customer quotes to facilitate the completion of orders. Represent the Company in a friendly, helpful and professional way at all times. Maintain an excellent working knowledge of the company’s products, services and internal processes. Maintain and develop strong long‑term relationships with new and existing customers so that we continue to sell existing and new services to them. Infrequent travel may be required as part of this role, within Australia/Oceania and/or to parent company based in Logan, Utah. Field commissioning in Australia or Oceania may be required on a project‑to‑project basis. When required, perform any other reasonable duties consistent with the role of Application Specialist. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to sales and technical practices, technical standards, and customer satisfaction.
