GNI is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to oversee and manage site-based safety operations across multiple Rio Tinto projects. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the SHEQ Advisor will be responsible for: Leading and conducting audits and inspections Partnering with operational management to ensure effective execution of SHEQ strategy, policies, and procedures Driving the delivery of SHEQ improvement programs and communications Leading incident investigations, including ICAM methodologies Overseeing, monitoring, and reporting on project SHEQ performance Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years’ WHS/OHS experience in construction, infrastructure, or resources sectors Extensive and hands-on RTIO (Rio Tinto Iron Ore) experience and in-depth knowledge of RTIO safety systems, standards, and site requirements – this is essential Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety or related discipline Current First Aid and CPR certification Construction Safety Induction Current “C” Class Driver’s Licence National Police Clearance Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams ICAM investigation training and demonstrated application Strong working knowledge of WA WHS legislation, codes, and standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Desirable Skills, Qualifications & Experience Drug & Alcohol testing qualifications Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and/or Quality Auditing qualifications Experience in Power Lines and Substations Sustainability and environmental management experience The Benefits Genus Infrastructure is driven by its core values of safety.
