We are currently seeking experienced Vehicle Painters and Panel Beaters to join our growing team in Winnellie, Northern Territory. VEHICLE PAINTERS As a Vehicle Painter, you’ll be responsible for all paint and preparation duties, ensuring every finish meets our high-quality standards. Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and clean vehicle surfaces prior to painting Use a range of power and hand tools to prepare surfaces Remove rust and debris from areas to be painted Fill cavities and dents to create smooth, even surfaces Mask and tape components to ensure clean lines Mix paint to achieve the desired colour and texture Apply primer and finish coats using spray guns, sanding between coats Touch up defective areas as required Use infrared and high-heat lamps to speed up drying Follow all safety and health regulations Skills & Qualifications Trade-qualified Vehicle Painter (desirable) or at least 3 years’ work experience in absence of qualification At least 1 year of relevant employment experience if trade qualified Experience painting a variety of vehicle brands and models Confident working with different materials such as aluminium and steel Strong knowledge of painting techniques and preparation methods Ability to maintain spray guns and related equipment Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines Strong commitment to workplace health and safety PANEL BEATERS As a Panel Beater, you’ll repair damaged vehicle bodywork using a range of tools, equipment, and specialist techniques. Duties & Responsibilities Inspect damaged vehicles, determine repair requirements, and prepare cost estimates Liaise professionally with customers and insurance companies Remove dents, scratches, and other damage using planishing, filling, and hammering techniques Straighten frames and unibodies with mechanical or hydraulic equipment to manufacturer specifications Install repaired or replacement panels, refit trims and components, and prepare surfaces for painting Perform spray work where required, test vehicle electrical systems, and maintain accurate work records Skills & Qualifications Minimum 3 years’ work experience in the panel industry across multiple vehicle makes and models Strong technical knowledge of vehicle structures and mechanical components Excellent manual dexterity, coordination, and attention to detail Physical stamina to work with heavy panels, tools, and prolonged standing Strong time management and ability to work within set timeframes Commitment to safe work practices in accordance with company policies SALARY Both roles – Salary range of $75,000 – $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
