You'll be responsible for leading production teams, managing labour and operational costs, driving continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining food safety compliance and ensuring production targets are consistently achieved. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend time both on the production floor and working strategically to improve systems, processes and team performance. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a large production team across multiple departments Manage daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer demand Drive productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives Monitor labour costs, production KPIs and operational performance Maintain the highest standards of food quality and consistency Oversee inventory, purchasing and supplier relationships Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP and WHS requirements Coach, mentor and develop supervisors and production staff Manage recruitment, rostering, performance management and succession planning Work collaboratively with logistics, warehouse and commercial teams to optimise operations About You We're looking for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys building high-performing teams. You'll ideally bring: 5 years' experience leading production within food manufacturing or a similar high-volume manufacturing environment Proven experience managing large production teams Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling Experience managing labour budgets, COGS and operational costs Knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP and WHS requirements Excellent leadership, coaching and communication skills Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving ability A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for operational excellence Experience within bakery or fresh food manufacturing will be highly regarded, however candidates from broader food manufacturing backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
