About the business Westernport Sand and Soil has been operating in Hastings for over 30 years with a experienced and friendly staff. We are currently looking for an experienced front-end loader and excavator operator to join our yard team. About the role We are looking for the right candidate to help us keep up stocked with a range of our recycled products. The ideal candiate must have experience with using a front-end loader and an excavator. Previous experience working in a Quarry, Mining or Garden Supply business would be advantageous. Your day will involve: Pulversing & crushing concrete waste. Loading various vehicles with a range of materials from our site. Screening a range of soil blends. Conducting daily checks on the machinery and reporting maintenance as required. Communicating effectively with the yard hands and office staff regarding stock. What are we looking for? Current front-end loader and excavator tickets. Current Drivers Licence (HR licence and truck driving experience highly regarded). Proven experience operating front-end loaders and excavators. Demonstrated knowledge of the machinery and safe working pratices. Able to meet requirements of a full medical, drug and alcohol test as required. Able to maintain a clean, safe and organised working enviroment. Benefits and perks Casual role offering overtime hours as needed. Competitive hourly rate.
