About the Position As the Student Advisor, you will provide front-line customer service for the University, responding to inbound enquiries from prospective students and their parents, current students, and members of the public. Based in the Student Central team, you will also work across other areas of Student and Academic Services as required. The Student Advisor is responsible for: Outstanding customer service to internal and external customers, Continuous improvement of policies, processes, systems, and work practices, Delivering against an annual schedule of operational deadlines, Compliance with relevant legislation and/or quality standards and internal work instructions, and Integrity of the data created through student and academic administrative processes. The Student Advisor will thrive in a highly regulated, customer-service environment, working as a member of a distributed team to respond to enquiries through multiple channels, including phone, in-person, email, and live chat. They will work closely with colleagues across the University, providing accurate information and advice to customers and ensuring consistency across sectors, colleges campus and centre locations. About You To be successful, you will require: Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of Year 12 and/or Certificate IV in a nationally accredited qualification. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to respond to enquiries in writing and liaise with other teams across the University on sometimes complex cases. High level verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex processes or regulations, to provide clear information to customers and to communicate effectively and constructively with staff. Experience working in a team of customer service staff (in the vocational or higher education sector preferred), including collaborating to achieve shared goals. An outstanding commitment to customer-service for internal and external customers, delivering exceptional customer outcomes. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the regulatory requirements for the operation of a customer service team in a dual sector University environment. Experience in contact centre improvement projects or programs of work. Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and a valid NT Working with Children clearance Remuneration Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 4. The base salary will be in the range of $70,037 - $74,456 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $81,943 - $87,113 per annum, inclusive of 17% superannuation (pro-rata).
