The Position Provide first-level administration, support and maintenance of Linux-based systems within customer products, solutions and operational environments to support secure, reliable and efficient system performance. Key Responsibilities Act as the Linux tool champion in supporting the day-to-day operation and administration of Linux systems that form part of customer products, platforms or deployed solutions. Perform routine administration tasks including user access, file permissions, patching, configuration updates and system checks. Monitor system health, performance, availability and alerts, escalating issues as required. Assist with troubleshooting incidents and technical faults within supported Linux environments. Support system builds, deployments, testing in quality assurance (QA) environments, backup and recovery activities. Maintain technical system documentation, procedures and configuration records. Contribute to the development and maintenance of system security settings, compliance and operational improvement activities including continual improvement of devops systems to ensure ready for deployment into production environment. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external customers to support service delivery. Foundational knowledge of Linux operating systems and system administration practices. Knowledge of TCP/IP and network security Good interpersonal skills, and an ability to communicate effectively Problem solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently or with limited guidance Desirable Experience supporting Windows systems Exposure to scripting or automation tools (e.g. Anaconda, Python) Eligibility • An Australian Citizen; • Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance – Negative Vetting 2. • ITAR – This position requires employees to access equipment and data that is subject to U.S International Traffic and Arms Regulation (ITAR).
