About the Role Nova Systems is a leading engineering services and technology solutions company, partnering with our clients to keep our nations and people safe and secure. As an ILS Manager you will support key EW projects within EWIS, delivering and sustaining critical Defence capability for Australia's war fighters. You will bring your ILS expertise to coordinate the various elements required to ensure project success, progressing projects through the lifecycle from strategy and inception to in‑service support and disposal. Key Responsibilities Work alongside Commonwealth project team members, supporting the progress of projects through the One Defence Capability System, including development of key documents supporting project clearance through Defence capability gate reviews. Liaise with Defence and non‑Defence stakeholders. Contribute to or develop ILS artefacts supporting project progress. Perform Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) item reviews. Provide advice and expertise on ILS policies and legislation to Defence stakeholders. Analyse complex logistics issues and identify recommendations. Evaluate contractor material logistics activities to ensure alignment with project objectives. Experience in achieving Fundamental Input to Capability (FIC) assurance statements in support of projects achieving IOC/FOC. Demonstrated clear communications both written and verbally, especially relative to ILS subject matter, and contribute to creating or updating the project's ILSI and ILSP. Experience in leading teams within a complex stakeholder environment. Outgoing and able to self‑identify risks, issues and opportunities, and act upon them with minimal guidance. Key Qualifications An industry recognised ILS qualification or certification. Experience in Defence acquisition ILS policy, processes and procedures to support the acquisition and sustainment of equipment in accordance with Defence requirements. Ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders within CASG, ADF and in‑service support contractors. Ability to gain an NV2 security clearance and be currently at the NV1 level as a minimum at the time of application. Defence experience with electromagnetic warfare systems and Land domain subject matter will be highly regarded. Experience in working above‑the‑line on Defence ASDEFCON acquisition and support contracts. Contract management experience in providing input to the development of DSDs, DIDS and long‑term sustainment contracts. Trained in logistics aspects of the Defence ERP system. Based in Canberra.
