Shimadzu Medical Devices has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Imaging Field Service Engineer to join our New South Wales team servicing the Canberra region with occasional visits to Bega. The purpose of this role is to provide medical X-Ray field service engineering support for the installation, servicing and repair of all X-Ray products within our portfolio in line with regulatory requirements. The key responsibilities of this role are: Work collaboratively with the wider organisation to provide high quality service to our customers. Service, install, repair and maintain all medical equipment X-Ray (software and hardware) within the portfolio, while adhering to strict guidelines and regulatory requirements. Assist in the sales process by providing high quality technical support from pre-sales through to post-sales support. Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient and cost effective service delivery. To ensure all equipment is installed and maintained to the Shimadzu's standards and that all activities are documented using the relevant company documentation and polices. To keep systems up-to-date following factory issued modifications and software updates. Be responsible for managing technical escalations through the appropriate channels ensuring all stakeholders are continually updated according to the company process. Provide the most cost effective solution to the customer to minimise cost and customer downtime. Maintaining a high level of knowledge through regular training and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new technologies relevant to your portfolio. Provide the highest standard of technical support to customers including phone support. Monitor systems and ensure common faults are reported to the appropriate department to enable a continual improvement in the performance of the company's products. The required skills and qualifications for this role: Previous experience in advanced, total system-level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repair on X-Ray equipment (Min 3 years). Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong communication skills -verbal and written Sound knowledge of computer systems including DICOM modality configuration and networking. Understanding of WH&S procedures and/or other applicable regulatory requirements within the X-Ray industry.
