Plant Operator – Dandenong South Liquid Treatment Plant We are seeking a reliable and experienced Plant Operator to join our client at their Dandenong South Liquid Treatment Plant. Shift times: - 4:00am – 12:00pm OR 12:00pm – 8:00pm - you get to choose! Pay: $35.19 per hour plus penalties and Overtime About Us Our client is a one of the largest waste management services companies in Australia. They provide full end-to-end waste collection, treatment and management solutions to their commercial cusotmers. They are growing and need a new plant operator to join the team in wither an early morning shift or an afternoon shift. The role is a permanent full time opportunity for you. Responsibilities What You Will Do? Inspect customer loads on arrival and confirm materials meet quality standards for safe and suitable disposal within the liquid treatment plant. Carry out general housekeeping duties across the treatment plant, maintaining clean, orderly, and safe work areas in line with site procedures. Monitor plant operations during your shift, observing process performance and promptly identifying any issues or irregularities that may affect treatment outcomes. Assist the maintenance fitter with minor plant maintenance activities, supporting routine tasks that help ensure equipment reliability and continuous operation. Load trucks with solids produced by the treatment process, preparing material for offsite disposal in accordance with site handling and safety requirements. Operate a hook truck as required to move and transport loads safely within and from the treatment plant, following all relevant licensing and safety guidelines. Your Profile Requirements: HR licence required Excavator and front end loader licences preferred You have experience in the waste industry or a strong interest in this sector, enabling you to understand waste handling and disposal requirements. You are comfortable with early morning OR afternoon shift schedules.
