As the business continues to evolve its planning capability, there is now an opportunity to strengthen and formalise the production scheduling function. The Role: Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain & Inventory, this newly created role will take ownership of the end-to-end production schedule, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of trailers in line with customer commitments, factory capacity and business priorities. You will act as the central coordination point between production, procurement, engineering and sales, ensuring plans remain realistic, achievable and aligned to operational capability. Key responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining the master production schedule for trailer manufacturing Aligning production plans with customer orders, factory capacity, labour availability and material supply Sequencing production to optimise flow and minimise bottlenecks Re-planning and adjusting schedules in response to supply delays, engineering changes or shifting priorities Monitoring production progress and identifying risks to delivery performance Coordinating closely with manufacturing, procurement, stores and engineering to ensure material availability and production readiness Supporting sales with realistic delivery timelines and capacity insights Managing raw material and WIP inventory planning to support efficient production flow Tracking and reporting key metrics including schedule adherence, delivery performance and capacity utilisation Driving improvements in scheduling processes, planning systems and operational visibility This role offers the opportunity to introduce greater structure, reporting capability and planning discipline while playing a key role in aligning production performance with customer commitments. Skills & Experience: Demonstrated experience in production planning or scheduling within manufacturing Experience in heavy manufacturing, automotive or complex assembly environments highly regarded Strong understanding of factory flow, capacity planning and production constraints Experience working within ERP/MRP systems (SAP or similar) Advanced Microsoft Excel capability and strong digital literacy Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to operate confidently in fast-paced production environments Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills A proactive mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions and drive realistic planning outcomes This is an exciting opportunity to join an established Australian manufacturer where you'll have the chance to influence production performance.
