Laynhapuy Homelands Aboriginal Corporation (Laynha) is seeking a reliable and hands-on Remote Stores Support Officer to join our Remote Stores team. About Us Laynha is a not-for-profit organisation supporting 30 homeland communities across East Arnhem Land for more than 40 years. We deliver essential services including healthcare, aged care, housing, community services, and land and sea management. About the Program Laynha’s Remote Stores program supports the operation of community stores across homelands, helping ensure access to essential food, supplies, and everyday goods. The program plays an important role in supporting food security, community wellbeing, and local economic participation. About the Role As the Remote Stores Support Officer , you will: Provide operational support to remote store teams across homelands; and coordinate deliveries, supply movements, and logistics as required Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors to support store operations Support stock ordering, tracking, and reconciliation processes; assist with stocktakes, inventory management, and discrepancy follow-up; monitor stock levels and identify shortages or overstock issues; maintain accurate stock records, operational reports, and documentation Support the planning and coordination of store upgrades and expansion projects Assist with procurement, logistics, and setup for new or improved store locations Complete data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks as required Ensure compliance with organisational procedures, operational guidelines, and WHS requirements Contribute to improving operational systems and processes What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is: Reliable, organised, and confident managing operational tasks and competing priorities Practical and hands-on, with a willingness to support a range of store and logistics activities A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with staff, suppliers, contractors, and community members culturally respectful and committed to supporting Yolŋu communities Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual and operational tasks Skills and Requirements Experience in stock control, inventory management, logistics, or store operations Strong administration, record-keeping, reporting skills and computer skills Safe and competent driving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Current Open Driver’s Licence NT Ochre Card and National Police Check (or ability to obtain) What We Offer A meaningful role supporting community access to essential goods and services Opportunities for professional growth and development Competitive remuneration Salary packaging benefits of up to $17,500 per annum 6 weeks annual leave Remote Living Allowance How to Apply If you have strong operational skills, enjoy practical work, and want to contribute to supporting remote community stores across Arnhem Land, we’d love to hear from you.
