The Role & Duties Work as part of the maintenance team responsible for the safe and efficient operation of fixed plant and site infrastructure. This role offers a mix of preventative maintenance, breakdown response, project work & more. Rotate across 4 main departments for all round knowledge and hands on experience. Servicing pumps, conveyors, crushers, screens, piping systems, valves, and associated infrastructure. Completing preventative maintenance and scheduled shutdown work. Attending breakdowns and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Performing equipment inspections and reporting defects. Working from technical drawings, maintenance schedules, and site procedures. Assisting with installation projects, upgrades, and component change-outs. Supporting both surface and underground infrastructure maintenance activities where required. Travel & Roster This role offers a structured FIFO arrangement designed to support a strong work-life balance. With charter flights included from the main point of hire to N.QLD. FIFO from Cairns, Brisbane, or Townsville - flights all organised and paid for. Short bus transfer from airport to site with camp in close proximity as well. 8:6 roster across days and nights - 12 hour shifts. Plenty of overtime available if wanted. Camp This camp is seriously well set up with genuinely comfortable rooms good range of amenities. Large private en-suite rooms with a good-sized bed, TV, desk and storage perm room allocation. Plenty of variety of hot and cold meals for breakfast, lunch. Gym, swimming pool, sports field, bar with beer, wine and beverages. Camp shop stocking toiletries, clothing and essentials. Telstra coverage on site and Wi-Fi available throughout camp. Your Skills & Experience To be successful you'll bring a strong mechanical background and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety. You'll ideally have: Mechanical Fitter trade qualification (Cert III Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent). Experience working on fixed plant, heavy industry, mining, manufacturing, processing, oil & gas, or similar. Experience with pumps, conveyors, hydraulic systems, gearboxes, motors, and rotating equipment highly regarded. Mining experience beneficial but not essential. Strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and police clearance. What's next?
