We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Manager Market Research & Analytics to join our Strategy & Transformation team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Head of Market Research & Analytics, you will play a key role in connecting market intelligence with commercial decision-making across APA's Gas Transmission & Storage, Contracted Power and Gas Powered Generation (GPG) divisions. Working closely with senior leaders across the organisation, you will leverage market forecasts, industry intelligence and quantitative analysis to identify growth opportunities, assess strategic risks, challenge business assumptions and support investment decisions. You will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating complex market dynamics into actionable recommendations that support APA's corporate strategy and long-term growth ambitions. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and enhancement of APA's in-house gas and electricity market forecasting models, including long-term energy transition scenarios. Deliver strategic market intelligence and quantitative analysis to support corporate strategy, investment decisions and organic growth opportunities. Present clear, compelling insights and recommendations to senior leaders, Executive Leadership Team and Board-level audiences. Identify emerging market trends, risks and opportunities across energy commodities, customer demand, competitor activity and regulatory developments. Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Energy Solutions, Corporate Finance, Climate, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications teams. Manage external engagements with industry advisors, market bodies and stakeholders to ensure APA's market outlooks remain contemporary and market leading. Your Background Experience using market intelligence, economic analysis or industry insights to support strategic planning, commercial decision-making and investment outcomes within energy, infrastructure or other capital-intensive industries. Knowledge of Australian energy markets, with exposure to gas and/or electricity markets (NEM and/or WEM experience highly regarded). Strong quantitative, modelling and analytical capability, with experience turning complex data into meaningful commercial insights. Proven ability to develop market forecasts, scenarios or business cases that inform strategic decision-making. Demonstrated experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and executive audiences. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across diverse business functions.
